Between the lines: Kermani & Sznaider in dialog
The Middle East war is polarizing society. It is destroying the binding power of culture and religion, of shared values and a vision of cohesion between people, societies and states. In the evening panel discussion, two outstanding intellectuals, Navid Kermani and Natan Sznaider, will come together to talk about precisely these focal issues. They will attempt to shed light on the complex interrelationships of the Middle East war and put their fingers in the wound: What are the effects of the Middle East war on the people living there and on European society? How can people of different political attitudes and different cultural or religious backgrounds be brought together around one table? The two intellectuals will discuss these questions. The panel discussion will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Dr. Angelika Nußberger, Director of the Academy for European Human Rights Protection.
Partners are the Academy for European Human Rights Protection, the Center for Reconciliation Research at the University of Bonn and the Bonn Academy for Research and Teaching of Practical Politics (BAPP).
